Sponsors
The following companies/organisations have provided funding.
Loxley Valley Community Farm would like to thank them for their support,
without which the project would not be the success it is today.
The Soil Association is the UK's leading organic organisation. The organisation has helped us by providing help when we were starting and has continued giving advice while forgeing links were both parties can benefit. www.soilassociation.org/csa.aspx
Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) is a charity that supports the development of a vibrant, effective and influential voluntary and community sector locally. VAS provided a great deal of advice regarding the legal structure that we should adopt www.vas.org.uk
UIS Online have helped us by hosting our website for free www.uisonline.co.uk
Carl Meldrum is one of those people in life that seems to want to help other people. He has himself a mini smallholding, and was very to happy to show us what to expect and has been an inspiration for us.
Swillington Farm is a place near leeds run to organic standards. We visited them early on and gained alot of insight in how to run the different areas involved in a farm. Since then we have gained a valuable contact in the form of Kirsten Glendinning, who is part of the Soil Association. www.swillingtonhousefarm.co.uk
Green Estates ploughed a piece of land for us. To see 3 large horses working in harmony was a sight to behold. www.greenestate.org.uk
Just Natural (Crookes) provide us with past their best vegetables and fruit which the pigs adore!
The Wellington Pub / Micro Brewery provide us with spent brewers mash for the pigs
Rhinegold Nursery provided some veg plants at a discounted price Would you like to help?
